Is there is a whiff of conspiracy about Chamber Music at Bethany's season-opener? Or it all just a simple misunderstanding?

No, no, no. Nothing of the sort. We at CM@B are simply here to serenade you with the musical best that two (totally-not-conspiring) countries, Russia and America, have to offer.

CM@B Co-Directors Yasuko Oura and Tim Munro will be joined by a string quartet made up of some of Chicago's best players, and busy bass baritone Sam Handley, a rising Chicago star praised for “his rich, burnished” voice.

Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky: Songs (arr. viola and piano)
Shostakovich: Cello Sonata
Samuel Barber: Dover Beach for string quartet and voice
Natalie Dietterich: Bound for flute and cello, Mov. 2
Ryan Brown: Bedside Manner for flute and cello
Stacy Garrop Silver Dagger for flute, cello and piano
Selections of American favorites for voice and piano

Sam Handley, bass baritone
Yasuko Oura, piano
Tim Munro, flute
Sarah Plum, Andrew McCann, violins
